Spanizol LB is a reflective vapour seal
Spanizol LB is a material made of craft paper and metallized lavsan. Spanizol LB is vapour-proof with the high strength and waterproofing capacity, and its metallized surface has the property of reflecting thermal radiation. The material composition and structure provide the possibility to use it in a high-temperature environment.
The properties of Spanizol LB material make it possible to use it as a vapour seal with an energy-saving effect in high-temperature rooms – baths and saunas (where “dry vapour” temperature reaches +140 °C) to retain the vapour in the steam room, as well as to prevent dampness inside the wall structures and inter-floor coverings that occur with periodic temperature and humidity changes inside the steam room.
Subject to compliance with all installation requirements, Spanizol LB reflecting water-vapour seal allows to retain the thermal-insulating properties of the insulant, to extend the service life of the structure, as well as to reduce the heat loss of the room, making it possible to save up to 10% on heating it (according to the results of laboratory tests) due to the ability of the metallized surface of reflecting thermal radiation.
